QuickBooks Integration

How to set up the QuickBooks account mapping in BrokerChamp so commission income and payouts export cleanly into your QuickBooks chart of accounts.

What This Page Does

The QuickBooks Setup page is where you map BrokerChamp's commission line items to the QuickBooks account names you actually use in your QuickBooks chart of accounts. Once mapping is complete, the QuickBooks Export produces a CSV you can import directly into QuickBooks without renaming accounts.

Info: This is not a live API integration. There is no OAuth, no real-time sync, and BrokerChamp does not push data into QuickBooks automatically. You map account names once, then run CSV exports on whatever cadence works for you.

Where to Find It

Open Admin → Settings → QuickBooks.

What Each Line Item Means

  • GCI Income: Gross commission income to the brokerage.
  • Bonus Income: Bonus amounts collected on transactions.
  • Buyer Transaction Fee Income: Buyer-side admin / transaction fees collected.
  • Seller Transaction Fee Income: Seller-side admin / transaction fees collected.
  • E&O Income: Errors and omissions amounts collected at close.
  • Company Income: The brokerage's net income after agent payouts.
  • Agent Commission Expense: Total commission paid out to agents.
  • Royalty Expense: Royalty fees paid to a franchisor or parent.
  • Referral Expense: Referral fees paid out to outside agents / brokerages.
  • Company Payout Expense: Other disbursements (catch-all).
  • Commission Advance Clearing: Clearing account for commission advances.
  • Child Support Clearing: Clearing account for child-support garnishments.
  • Default Class: Optional default QuickBooks "class" to attach to every line.

Configuring the Mapping

Step 1: For each line item, type the exact QuickBooks account name you use (or leave the BrokerChamp default if your QB account names match).
Step 2: If you use QuickBooks Classes, type the default class to apply.
Step 3: Save. The page shows a Configured badge once every required line is filled in.
Tip: Not sure what to use? Start with the defaults BrokerChamp provides. Your bookkeeper can rename the accounts in QuickBooks after the first import, then come back and update the mapping here to match.

What This Export Does Not Include

  • Monthly agent fees, desk fees, or E&O premiums you bill separately.
  • Escrow or trust account activity.
  • Refunds or chargebacks issued from QuickBooks side.

Those still need to be entered into QuickBooks directly. The BrokerChamp export covers commission income and payouts from closed transactions only.
