I got my start in real estate in 1999, building a brokerage's website while I was still in high school. They had 30 agents at the time. By 2001 they were up to 100 agents and three offices, and the broker pulled me out of the website chair and into office management to help open the next location. By 2005 I was the VP of Operations and the company's lead recruiter.
Over the next eight years I personally recruited more than 400 agents into the company and helped open 14 franchise offices as a partner. We were one of the first brokerages anywhere to move all our paperwork online, back when the rest of the industry was still running everything through the fax machine.
I left in 2013, but the back office we'd built always stuck with me. It held the company together, but I always wanted to build the real version. I finally did.
