Understanding Transaction Types

Transaction types categorize the different kinds of real estate transactions you can track in BrokerChamp. Each type has specific fields and requirements tailored to that transaction category. Understanding transaction types helps you enter transactions correctly and ensures accurate commission calculations.

When creating a new transaction, you'll be presented with icons representing different transaction types. Click on the appropriate type to start entering that transaction. The system will then show you the relevant fields for that transaction type.

Within each transaction type, there may be subcategories. For example, residential sales might include categories like "Single Family Home", "Condo", or "Townhouse". These categories help organize transactions and may affect commission calculations.

Transaction types are configured by your brokerage administrator. If you don't see a transaction type you need, contact your office administrator.
